The agent of Wolves target Badou Ndiaye has confirmed the midfielder is for sale this summer, according to the Birmingham Mail.
What’s the story?
Ndiaye only joined Stoke City in January when Paul Lambert signed the powerful central midfielder for an estimated fee of £14 million from Turkish club Galatasaray.
Since then, the Senegalese international was one of the few stand-out players in a dismal Stoke team that saw them relegated to the Championship.
Ndiaye scored twice in 13 matches for the Potters and is eager to stay in the Premier League, according to reports.
West Ham and Leicester are also rumoured to be in for the 27-year-old, as well as a number of foreign clubs, and his agent, William D’Avfilla has now given hope to potential suitors by admitting his client will be on the move this summer.
Valuable experience for Wolves
Even though Wolves stormed the Championship with ease this season, the step up to the Premier League is always tricky, and the addition of players with top-flight experience can aid this transition.
Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota certainly have Premier League quality, but the Wolves midfield could do with a powerful box-to-box midfielder to control the game and allow the flair players to roam free.
Wolves may have to pay over the odds to secure the signing of Ndiaye with many European clubs vying for his signature, but it will be money well spent if he helps bring balance to the midfield.
