The French defender left Manchester United earlier this summer after spending three years at Old Trafford. He was initially linked with a move to Inter Miami and clubs in the Saudi Pro League, but eventually decided to play under Cesc Fabregas at Como as he penned a two-year deal.

After the official confirmation came from the Serie A side, Varane took to X as he quoted the club's post and wrote: "I’m super excited, incredibly proud and can’t wait to get started!!"

He eventually appeared in 32 matches across all competitions, including the FA Cup final as they beat rivals Manchester City to lift the FA Cup.
