Tom Huddlestone is a wonderful footballer. Not the quickest or the most mobile, but his use of the ball is outstanding.
It is a great shame that Huddlestone has only won four England caps because there are few – if any – midfielders in the current set-up with a better range of passing.
The 31-year-old has been back with Derby County since 2017, following four years with Hull City.
Huddlestone represented Tottenham Hotspur between 2005 and 2013, making more than 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The midfielder scored 15 times for Spurs during his time in the capital, and was a part of the team that won the 2008 League Cup.
More than five years have passed since Huddlestone left Tottenham, but it is clear that the Premier League club’s fans still think an awful lot of the former Nottingham Forest youth.
