[ad_pod ]Newcastle United could send Achraf Lazaar out on loan this month, per Chronicle Live. The club have received an offer from Serie A club Cagliari, with Lazaar surplus to requirements at St James’ Park.
What’s the word?
Lazaar has never played for Newcastle in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old joined the club from Palermo in 2016, for a £2million fee according to Sky Sports, and played four times in the Championship, per Transfermarkt.

However, he has yet to play in the top-flight, instead working with the club’s Under-23 side throughout the 2018-19 campaign.
Lazaar spent last season on loan with Italian club Benevento, but, per the aforementioned report, was frozen out after a row with the club’s coach.
He could now return to Serie A, however, with Cagliari tabling a bid to end his Magpies nightmare.
A necessary casualty
Newcastle had agreed a deal to sign Jordan Lukaku on loan from Lazio, per Sky Sports, but the deal fell through on Friday, per Lee Ryder.
Even so, there is no future for Lazaar on Tyneside, as it is clear the Magpies are looking to replace him this month,Âleaving him with no other option but to depart.
Manager Rafael Benitez clearly does not trust in the Moroccan, and he will now have the chance to resuscitate his career in Italy.
Lazaar is a Morocco international, making 17 appearances for his country, and knows Serie A well, having played in the division 68 times.
