Jake Hesketh came through the youth system at Southampton, before making his first-team debut for the club in December 2014 against Manchester United.
A talented attacking midfielder, Hesketh has scored once in four appearances for Southampton, but has not turned out for the club since the 2016-17 campaign.
Indeed, Hesketh is currently on loan at Burton Albion, and scored his first goal for the League One outfit against Portsmouth on Tuesday night.
It really was a super effort from the 22-year-old, and he will be looking for regular football at Burton before potentially challenging for a first-team spot at Southampton in the future.

Hesketh is not currently in the plans of Southampton boss Mark Hughes, but the Premier League club’s fans have insisted that their manager should be looking at the midfielder as a potential first-team star.
For every Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw, there has been a Harrison Reed and Josh Sims, and it remains to be seen whether Hesketh can forge a career at St Mary’s.
